in a friday afternoon lunch, over the lunch hour din of the indian restaurant, over banana leaf rice on the table and curry and rice on our fingers , i was asked:
What do you want to do with your life?
and in that setting, while others came intrusively to my rescue, cushioning the difficult question laughingly with jokes of 'at least let her eat first', i could not answer.
by the end of the lunch i had formulated an answer. it was at the tip of my tongue for the whole second half of the meal, but i could not find the right time for me to bring it out... the moment was past.
all i could think up was:
i would like to do some good..
and i've found that i'm quite ok at thinking...objectively, and i'm inclined towards writing.
what would you suggest?

keep thinking and help other people think if you can -- lovingly that is.
I think you can write. Why don't you send in some pieces to mags and stuff? Or, you can even send in to Asian Beacon. I hear they're looking for young writers :)
