what nonsense !

we are such passive passengers of our own lives,
giving up responsibility for our own lives to other ppl, like they're supposed to be our guardians.
Are people careless with death now? does it not concern us or are we numb, in pop culture, death being not formidable anymore, romanticized like a journey a concept, it occuring so commonly that its just another piece of news. we forget that its an ultimate journey and it is the end no second chances, no i'll try harder, change tomorrow.
in about two weeks death by h1n1 has rose from 0 to 32. how are ppl not panicking yet? how is it that the government/society/someone has not rose a red alert and say to ppl 'be warned!' 'be at watch, go to the doctors if anything.. or else'. how do ppl get by not panicking hearing that a random menacing stranger can come up to our doorstep and assault our space, and try to get in, and harass us, and if they got in then what would they have done? how is it common, how is it normal, how are we not outraged? why don't we panic !

wrongdoings, justice, morals, social ills, health, relationships, life, and death are underrated. we are so nonchalant with these things , distracted instead by all the most overrated things - music and pop culture, celebrity fads, gossips, power hunger, politics, superficial acceptance and superficial recognitions.

and then again why is it do i complain that government/society does not tell us to watch out and set the fad to be concerned? its because i was running on the assumption that they are like our guardians or something. when it fact, it is our responsibility to find out, to watch out, to be responsible for our own health and our own lives. we shouldnt rely on being told, this or that, told that 'really its quite important that you take care of your self at about this time'; but we are responsible to do whats best for ourselves and our families, and not let go these responsibilities on someone else and blame them when we are not made to know.
